HIV/ AIDS Workshop at MALC

MALC regularly holds in-house training sessions to expand the knowledge base of its employees. On May 3, 2018, Dr. Aftab Ahmad, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer/ NGO Coordinator at Sindh AIDS Control Program (SACP) facilitated a workshop on ‘HIV/AIDS’ at MALC Training Institute. HIV and AIDS’ acronyms when expanded stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. The former is the virus that can cause the latter. The workshop proved to be fruitful, as the employees gained deeper insights into the ailment and the misconceptions were also cleared. Today, HIV has become from a devastating endemic to a manageable chronic disease. In Sindh alone, 13,529 cases of HIV/AIDS have been verified as of last year.
