MALC is serving the Leprosy, TB & Eye patients free of cost. The treatment cost not only includes medical and surgical treatment but also, in most cases, physical and social needs of deformed patients.
Deserving cases are provided educational, vocational and socio-economic assistance for their rehabilitation and integration into their respective communities.
MALC’s annual budget is around to Rs. 130 millions, out of which 65% is managed by German Leprosy and TB Relief Association and other foreign donors and 35% by our well-wishers in Pakistan.
Our foreign grants are gradually decreasing every year. We feel that as Pakistani citizens it is now our responsibility to take ownership of the Programme and come forward to help MALC stand on its own feet for the future sustainability of our Leprosy-Tuberculosis-Blindness control efforts.
