Government

Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre is working in collaboration with the Federal and Provincial Health Departments of Sindh, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltishtan and Azad Kashmir. The provincial set-up in the entire country is based upon MALC’s collaboration with the respective provincial governments. Federal and Provincial Governments are cost sharing partners of the Leprosy Control Programme, mainly supporting in the infrastructure through the Ministry of Health. Most of the centres housed inside the district government hospital premises and run by paramedical workers, who are government employees. MALC provide them training, logistic and performance based monthly allowance.
