His father used to take stress regarding the commute to school due to any unforeseen circumstances that would make him helpless: Younas’ story
Younas is very energetic and always playful. He is 8 years old and goes to a Community School run by MALC in Gadap Town, with his brother. They both study in the same class. Younas’ father married twice and is without a job. Younas, unlike the rest of his 12 siblings (6 sisters and 6 brothers) has a hearing and speech impairment from birth. At first, only Younas was enrolled in the school, but his father used to take stress regarding the commute to school due to any unforeseen circumstances that would make him helpless. His brother who accompanies him is actually his step-brother but the bond between them is strong.
His two younger siblings also go to the same school in the afternoon shift. His eldest brother, who is the only working family member, has given up his own ambitions to make ends meet for the entire family.
With your zakat, today, Younas and his siblings are receiving free of charge education under one roof in an inclusive environment without any discrimination.
