On October 21, 2024, Dr. Iqra M. Siddique Ghouri conducted an educational session at the Female Ward of the MALC Headquarter Hospital.
The session commenced with a warm greeting and a bed-to-bed leprosy knowledge questionnaire that revealed that some patients had limited awareness about the disease, including its symptoms, transmission, and treatment. Following this assessment, a comprehensive awareness session covering key topics such as signs and symptoms, prevention, early detection, and the goal of achieving zero leprosy. Patients engaged actively, asking questions and expressing a commitment to share their newfound knowledge with their families and communities. Overall, the session highlighted the need for targeted education to empower patients and advance the mission of eliminating leprosy.
