Restoring Sight, Transforming Lives

In November 2024, Free Surgical Eye Camps across Balochistan, supported by the Balochistan Leprosy Blindness Control Program and organized by MALC with sponsorship from the New Zealand High Commission, provided essential eye care to remote communities. The camps offered consultations and cataract surgeries in areas with limited healthcare access. Ziarat saw 989 consultations and 80 surgeries, Surab had 2,870 consultations and 104 surgeries, Rakini provided 1,321 consultations and 98 surgeries, and Dalbandin completed 1,140 consultations and 83 surgeries.
One young patient expressed his joy: “I can finally see clearly again.” These camps highlight the transformative power of kindness and the profound impact of restoring sight. “The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.”
