“We can end TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver”
Tuberculosis (TB) continues to be one of the most pressing health challenges globally. While treatable with timely diagnosis and appropriate care, this infectious disease remains a significant threat to public health.
Pakistan is ranked as the 5th highest country in the world with the greatest burden of TB cases. Moreover, the country faces an additional concern, ranking 4th globally for drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). With these alarming statistics, it is imperative to focus on early detection of all TB cases, employing established and innovative diagnostic methods while ensuring timely and effective treatment.
At MALC, we support Pakistan’s national and provincial TB control programs across the public and private sectors. Each year, we facilitate the registration and treatment of 12,000 to 14,000 new TB cases nationwide, helping combat this preventable disease and improve health outcomes nationwide and a reduction in mortality rates. Through our efforts, we aim to contribute significantly to the global fight against TB and MDR-TB, ensuring no one is left behind in the battle for better health.
